Who we are

Encourage Us is a service operated by Nuclearsiloman LLC, which is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect

When you purchase a subscription, we collect your name, email address, and payment details (processed by our payment provider; we never store card numbers). You also provide the first name and mobile phone number of the person you want us to text, and an optional personal note.

For message recipients, we store the name and phone number provided by the purchaser, the messages we sent, and a record of consent activity: our invitation, and any YES, STOP, START, or HELP replies, with timestamps.

How we use it

We use this information for exactly one purpose: delivering the encouragement messages the purchaser set up, to a recipient who has agreed to receive them. We do not sell personal information. We do not use recipient phone numbers for anything except this service.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the messages described above.

Website analytics and cookies

Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool, to count page visits and understand which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not receive your name, your phone number, or any information about message recipients. Beyond the session cookie that keeps you signed in and the partner referral cookies described below, this site sets no cookies.

Partner referrals

Some people who write for or advise parents of college students are paid a fixed amount when a family they refer buys a subscription and the student accepts. If you arrive through a partner's link, our referral platform, FirstPromoter, sets two cookies on this site (_fprom_tid and _fprom_ref) that remember the referral for up to 90 days. When you purchase, FirstPromoter receives your email address and the amount you paid from our payment provider, so the partner can be credited. Partners themselves see only that a referral converted and what it earned.

Nothing about a message recipient is involved in referral tracking. Partners never receive a recipient's name, phone number, or messages.

Consent and opting out

Recipients receive recurring messages only after replying YES to a single invitation text. Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages immediately. Reply HELP for assistance. We keep records of consent events for a minimum of four years, as required by law.

Data retention and deletion

Subscription data is retained while the subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Purchasers may request deletion of their account data at any time; consent records are retained as required by law even after deletion requests.
